Robyn Teet

Robyn has been working in the mining industry for over six years and has experienced mining across the globe. Having worked with numerous companies across different commodities, she has incorporated learnings from these experiences into her current role at Northparkes Mines.

Since joining mining in 2011, Robyn has been an active member of the AusIMM and has displayed great leadership qualities as a Graduate Member and new professional. Robyn was chair of the AusIMM New Professionals Network (NPN) in 2015 and serves on the committee as secretary of the Eastern Australian Ground Control Group. She was also part of the organising committee for the 2015 New Leaders’ Conference.  Robyn was instrumental in developing the relationship between the AusIMM and beyondblue to highlight the importance and raise awareness of mental health in young resources professionals. She facilitated the flagship NPN networking events with beyondblue in Adelaide and Perth and was honoured to receive the AusIMM New Professional Award in 2017.

Currently an Operations Geotechnical Engineer at Northparkes Mines, Robyn has been focused on expanding her operational skill set over the last 18 months and has recently joined the Northparkes Emergency Response Team to further develop teamwork and leadership skills. She aims to progress into a senior role in the next 2-3 years and take on more management aspects in her current role. Robyn has a strong commitment to safety and quality ground support installation and is continually looking for ways to improve, simplify and advance geotechnical engineering, while ensuring that it remains economic and aligned with site goals.
