Peter has been a member of the AusIMM since 1982, when he joined as a student. His career has spanned mine geology, then mine geo-engineering at a number of small and large mine sites since that time, including Mt Lyell, Porgera and Beaconsfield. At the latter he played a key role in the rescue of two miners trapped in an underground collapse. In recent times he has worked in a consulting role to many companies throughout Australia. He has delivered peer-reviewed papers on mine seismicity at a number of Australian and international conferences and has a significant publications record.
Peter works tirelessly for the Institute and is a leading and internationally-recognised professional in his field.
