Ms Ni Yuhui is currently a Deputy Chief Engineer of the Fourth Research and Design Engineering Corporation of CNNC, a researcher-level senior mining engineer and a Fellow of the AusIMM. She has been engaged in the consultation, scientific research and design work of uranium mines for 32 years. She has overseen the review, verification and approval in the scientific research and design field of uranium mining and metallurgical engineering. She has organised, approved and completed over 70 uranium mining and metallurgical consultations and designs. The projects designed by her are located across China, Africa, North America and west Asia. The main ore involved in the projects is uranium and the projects have also involved many paragenic metallic ores and associated metallic ores such as uranium coal, uranium-molybdenum ore and uranium-beryllium ore. She has been responsible for formulating the national standard Uranium Mining and Metallurgical Engineering Design Standard of CNNC, which has become one of the main design standards of the uranium mining and metallurgical industry.
In the Chinese nuclear industry, Ms Ni is among the first batch of design master honour winners. She enjoys the special government allowance of the State Council and she is a senior expert of the uranium mining and metallurgical industry.
